Stratford Circus Anomie September 01, 2009

Stratford Circus present Anomie.
Award-winning physical theatre and multimedia performance company Precarious are back with a powerfully engaging new show that is tipped to surpass the success of previous hits ‘The Factory‘ and ‘Druthers‘. Anomie is a hypnotic and surreal journey that traces the phantom connections and ambiguous relationships between six anomie plagued characters. Each individual‘s fractured pathway, in combination with the accidental collisions between their desperate stories, hints at an interpretation of the modern world that posits its social instability as a result of an erosion of traditional moral standards and personal values.
By turns intense and provocative, delicate and comic, Anomie is a portrait of modernity that will at once disturb and appease its audiences. Precarious‘ distinctive performance style blends break-neck physicality with stunning visual effects to create powerfully engaging theatre that will delight audiences.
"Challenging, risk-taking theatre, disturbing, loud, confrontational, pushing boundaries and bodies and creating work on an epic, industrial scale." The Stage 2008
