Jacksons Lane is a multi-arts venue in Highgate, North London. Housed in a striking red-brick gothic church conversion, the building is home to a 163 capacity theatre, as well as other rehearsal and workshop spaces. We host numerous classes and groups for all ages and interests. The new 2009 theatre season is the ultimate word in new circus, international dance, children‘s theatre and much more. Come and sky-gaze at our feast of aerial circus events, delight in some truly vaudevillesque performance or join us on a Sunday with the family for great children‘s theatre and free live jazz.

Jake and Cake

Jake has moved to the country. Missing his best friend Raymond, he wishes to be back in London. However one day, a girl called Cake tumbles into his life with stories of strange magic and ancient myths. Does she have special powers to find Raymond and will Jake ever believe her stories? As storm clouds gather, they move into the woods in search of friendship and the winding path home

A truly magical and mesmerising play for children aged 6+. Theatre Centre produces and tours new writing, developing the next generation of writers and artists working for and with young people. Theatre Company puts an emphasis on touring high quality productions into schools and theatres which connect with young audiences inspiring their creativity and reflecting their diversity.

Space Hoppers
Sunday 11 October, 12pm and 2pm
Strap on your space suit and float up to the stars; your space odyssey has begun! Take off on an interplanetary adventure with friendly astronauts as your guide and join us as we float up into new and dazzling galaxies. A promenade style performance for 3 to 7-year-olds combining beautifully designed installations, performance, puppetry, live music and poetry to create a magical experience for young children and their families.

Tell Tale Hearts aims to promote accessibility of theatre to children through devising pieces that appeal to children of mixed ability and cultural backgrounds and that can be delivered in different environments. Through exploring new genres in theatre for children, they hope to push the boundaries of ‘what is’ children’s theatre and how it is perceived.

The capacity for each show is very limited so please book early to avoid disappointment.
