From Ware in Hertfordshire through part of Essex, down to the Thames at East India Dock Basin, the Lee Valley Regional Park provides leisure activities which suit all ages, tastes and abilities.

Stretching 42km (26 miles) along the banks of the River Lee, this 4,000 hectare (10,000 acre) area has been shaped to provide a mosaic of countryside areas, urban green spaces, heritage sites, country parks, nature reserves and lake and riverside trails. It’s also home to a number of quality sports centres.

So whatever you do in your leisure time, whether it’s golf, horse riding or ice skating, fishing or birdwatching or perhaps exploring countryside and historic sites, you’ll find it in Lee Valley Regional Park. There are campsites and a Youth Hostel so you’ll have somewhere to stay too.

The Lee Valley Regional Park Authority will own three of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games venues and is an enthusiastic and committed supporter of the Games. After the Games, we’ll fund and manage these outstanding facilities: the White Water Canoe Course in River Lee Country Park at Broxbourne, the VeloPark and the Eton Manor Hockey and Tennis Centre both in Olympic Park.

We also aspire to extend the Lee Valley Regional Park through Olympic Park down to the River Thames.
