Barking Abbey‘s parent association is Ishinryu Karate Associates who‘s Chief Instructor is ‘Ticky Donovan‘ O.B.E. 9th Dan. Ishinryu Karate Associates is in membership of the English Karate Federation which in turn is a member of the British, European and World Karate Federation.
Barking Abbey Ishinryu, which is one of the most successful Karate Clubs within England, is run by Sensei Jonathan Mottram 4th Dan.
Sensei Mottram is also the English Karate Federation National Kata Coach and has produced and coached many English, British and International champions.
