The Coin Street festival is an even that has been organised annually by the Corn Street Community Builders since 1990. The festival celebrates the diverse cultural influences within the community and around London from across the globe and from a variety of social groups. The festival hosts a variety of themed days, events, exhibits, live music and attractions and all attractions are free to visitors and the local community. The festival is spread over several days in June each year and gives emerging artists a chance to showcase their works publicly. The events are hosted at centres owned by the Coin Street Community Builders such as the South Bank, Waterloo, the SEI, bargehouse and the.gallery@oxo which are situated in the centre of London right on the banks of the River Thames. Whatever the weather, there is always plenty to see and do at this bright, lively, entertaining and educational festival.
