After the success of the 2008 Trafalgar Square Festival and its theme based on the handover of the Olympic Games from Beijing to London and all the cultural differences that this entails, the 2009 festival promises to be just as exciting. Events will be announced in the run up to the festival weekends in August and the latest news and announcements can be found on their website as listed above. The festival is set against the magnificent backdrop of Trafalgar Square and features a collection of street artists and performers over three (hopefully!) sunny weekends at the height of the British summer. The theme for each festival will be announced in the run up to it and organisers will ensure that some of the world’s finest performers and artists are booked in order to entertain and educate the crowds that are sure to attend this colourful, informative and entertaining festival.
