About Pall Mall
You may have heard of the street Pall Mall if you've played Monopoly. Pall Mall is a property in the pink set, along with Whitehall and Northumberland Avenue, and is worth £140 which is oddly low for this exclusive district. But it has a bigger and better claim to fame. Pall Mall had the first ever public street lighting when gas lamps were installed here in January 1807.
