Nearby Apple Market is the somewhat tackier Jubilee Market – tee shirts reign here most days, but on Mondays antiques come in and at weekends there are more craft stalls. Explore some of the side streets too. Floral Street is home, sometimes quite literally, to several trendy designers. Try Monmouth street for, unusual in the city centre, an old fashioned butchers ( I recommend the sausages) alongside clothing stores and specialist bookshops.
